Hi, I’m Elizabeth!
I’m Guyanese, born in Jamaica, Queens and I’ve been a New Yorker for my entire life. I graduated from Barnard College, the sister college of Columbia University, with a degree in Chemistry. I am currently in medical school and will be applying for Emergency Medicine residencies in the upcoming months (just like James!). I love food and found a new appreciation for different cuisines while in college. You may recognize me! I started my first food blog called Munchies in NYC in 2014, which I couldn’t continue due to the demands of medical school. One of my goals in life is to travel and explore new regions and new food one bite at a time!
My guilty pleasure: Taco Bell Cheesy Gordita Crunch with grilled chicken
Hi, I’m James!
I’m Thai, born in Los Angeles, California and I moved out to New York for medical school. I graduated from University of Southern California with a degree in neuroscience. I am currently in medical school and will be applying for Emergency Medicine residencies in the upcoming months (just like Elizabeth!). I love food and grew up with an appreciation for food since my mother owns a Thai restaurant in Glendale, CA (expect a post on it soon!) While my palate tends to drift towards Thai and Korean food, my ultimate goal is to expand my taste buds and explore different cuisines!
My guilty pleasure: McDonald’s 20 piece McNuggets with fries
