Well, not really.
We loved visiting Sleepy Hollow during October because the entire neighborhood is decorated in scarecrows and pumpkins, with an eerie feel throughout the streets. One of the things we enjoyed the most is eating out way through our short visit. Not many people associate Sleepy Hollow with a large food scene but there are certainly restaurants that people would love to eat at when visiting.
Here are our favorites:
- Elizabeth’s favorite – The Taco Project (18 Main St, Tarrytown, NY 10591) 4.5/5
Immediately as you venture into The Taco Project you’re reminded of a casual, authentic Mexican restaurant with scare barstool seating and a cramped environment eager to make most patrons take their tacos to-go. We were determined to wait for a seat to enjoy the steak, grilled fish, and chicken tacos we ordered. The tacos were perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was a relief to finally have a grilled fish taco without all of the diced cabbage pieces most fish tacos are garnished with since it usually masks the taste of the fish. Elizabeth enjoyed this place because, although you may need to wait for a seat, the service is fast and the quality is high.
- James’ favorite – Bibille (14 Main St, Tarrytown, NY 10591) 4.7/5
Bibille reminds us of what a Korean-style Panda Express would be if it only served bibimbap. Bibille allows you make our own bibimbap, which is prepared right away for you. The meat and rice is already pre-cooked, so that way you don’t have to wait too long to get your meal. Not only will you be completely full after eating this delicious and savory bowl of shredded vegetables and the protein of your choice, but it is also one of the healthier options when it comes to eating in Sleepy Hollow. If you dared to grab a drink while you’re there, we highly recommend the green tea bubble tea. It is a cross between a green tea frappe with tapioca balls, but it is delicious.
