Island Seafood in Phuket

Phuket was a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and a perfect mix of urban and rural Thai life tucked away in the southmost region of Thailand. We recommend anyone traveling to Thailand to visit Phuket if their trip only affords one of the many locations that Thailand has to offer. This is because, aside from the amazing scenery and beaches, Phuket has amazing food. Be aware that prices may be steeper than you expect to see since Phuket restauranteurs cater to more tourists than locals, so prices at the local night markets may be more than you bargained for.

The only downside to Phuket is that there are less street vendors selling food, which is something we were looking forward to. Nonetheless, take advantage of the proximity of the island water by trying as many seafood dishes as you can in Phuket before venturing off to Bangkok or Chiang Mai since the quality of seafood cannot compare to the freshness in Phuket.
